The story of the British exit from the European Union goes deeper than the headlines and represents more than just a British phenomenon. That European project seemed to represent a post-World War II success story, but that success was always a messy affair. Historian Paul Steege will offer some brief remarks on that complicated past to be followed by an extended Q&A about its contemporary relevance and its implications for the future.
