TO: Members and Friends of The Irish American Business Chamber & Network

Dear Friends:

Many of you know I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease a few years ago.  Now I can shake hands three times faster, and have resorted to ‘going to my left’ while eating soup… otherwise I’m still living the good life.  I know that I am fortunate because I haven’t experienced other effects of Parkinson’sthat some have.  Chances are you have friends or family members with Parkinson’s, whether or not you are aware of it.

As I’ve been exploring the world of Parkinson’s, I thought that the Irish American Chamber (which we started 20 years ago) should dedicate one of our ‘Life Science’ forums to my new ‘constant companion.’

Thus I want to personally invite you to our 2020 Life Sciences Forum on Parkinson’s Disease, which the Irish American Business Chamber will host January 28th at The Union League.  The focus will be on the business of Parkinson’s, new developments, and local and international research related to Parkinson’s.  Two of our expert speakers, one from Dublin, Ireland, and one from Malvern, PA, are raising additional capital to further their ongoing research, and a third expert from the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which raises funds to support organizations like these in their fight against Parkinson’s, will join two Penn Medicine experts in a panel discussion.
