Greater Philadelphia’s marketing communications industry has grown into a robust industry that can attract and retain high talent, but industry leaders say more work is needed to elevate its nationwide and global reputations, which have lagged compared to that of its counterparts.
The region’s marketing communications, or marcom, industry was slow to recover from the recession, but it now contributes an annual economic impact of $13.5 billion, according to a recently-released report by Philly Ad News. The region now outpaces its East Coast competitors.
