The Irish American Business Chamber & Network is proud to celebrate four members who have been named to Irish America Magazine’s prestigious Business 100: Adele Farrell, John Cummins, Kevin Kent of Clark Hill, and Edel Howlin of Untapped Communications.

Each year, Irish America’s Business 100 honors Irish-born and Irish American leaders at the top of their fields, executives, and entrepreneurs whose work is shaping some of the most innovative and influential companies in the world. The annual Business 100 Awards Dinner in New York City brings this community together to ring in the holiday season and recognize leadership, cultural connection, and impact across the Irish diaspora.

This year’s honorees from the IABCN community exemplify that spirit of excellence:

Adele Farrell, co-founder of NEXA Enterprise Asset Management (NEXA | EAM), helped establish and grow an Irish-formed company that expanded into the greater Philadelphia region, scaled on both sides of the Atlantic, and was ultimately acquired by NASDAQ-listed Transcat. She is widely known for her focus on people, culture, and talent, helping build teams that reflect both strong technical expertise and deep community values.

John Cummins, founder and co-founder of NEXA | EAM, has led a growth story that bridges Ireland and the United States, while championing corporate social responsibility. Under his leadership, NEXA has supported organizations like Philadelphia’s Rock to the Future and the Wounded Warrior Project, demonstrating how business success and community impact can go hand in hand.

Kevin Kent, Chair, Transatlantic Practice with Clark Hill, is a nationally recognized litigator and risk management advisor whose work spans complex commercial disputes, public funding, infrastructure, and government-related matters. Kevin has been honored multiple times by Irish America Magazine, previously appearing on both the Business 100 and Legal 100 lists, and has long been an active leader within the Irish American community.

Edel Howlin, founder of Untapped Communications, is an award-winning, multi-platform communications strategist with nearly two decades of experience across public media, podcasting, PR, and strategic communications. Through Untapped Communications, she helps nonprofits, mission-driven businesses, and women-owned companies tell powerful stories, secure meaningful media coverage, and build the confidence to own their narrative on every platform.

We are especially proud that three of these honorees, Kevin, Edel, and John, also serve on IABCN’s Board of Directors. Their recognition by Irish America reflects not only their individual achievements, but also the strength, depth, and reach of the IABCN community.

At the Irish American Business Chamber & Network, we believe that membership should open doors you didn’t even know were there. One of the ways we do that is by actively promoting our members and nominating them for opportunities like the Business 100 and other national and international honors. When our members shine, our entire network, and the broader Irish American business community, benefits.

Being connected with the Chamber means you’re part of a community that:

  • Champions your success and celebrates your milestones
  • Connects you with peers, mentors, and partners across Ireland and the United States
  • Spotlights your achievements to media, partners, and stakeholders
  • Looks for ways to elevate your profile, from award nominations to speaking and thought-leadership opportunities

Please join us in congratulating Adele, John, Kevin, and Edel on this wonderful recognition from Irish America Magazine. Their leadership, generosity, and commitment to both business excellence and community impact embody the best of what it means to be part of the IABCN.
