We’re excited to share updates from the Museum of the American Revolution – our member and partner – on their special exhibition Cost of Revolution: The Life and Death of an Irish Soldier, opening September 28:

– The exhibition’s run has been extended through Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17.

– The Museum has developed transatlantic partnerships with Ireland’s national cultural institutions, such as the National Gallery, National Library, National Museum, and the Ulster Museum, to exhibit treasures from Ireland’s revolutionary history here in Philadelphia as part of Cost of Revolution. These partnerships will help to reveal the entangled histories of the American Revolution of 1776 and the Irish Revolution of 1798 for tens of thousands of Museum visitors.

A Revolutionary Cultural Opportunity For IABCN Members

As we approach America’s Independence Day, IABCN is pleased to announced that we will be an official Promotional Partner for the Museum of the American Revolution’s special exhibit, Cost of Revolution: The Life and Death of an Irish Soldier, running from September 28, 2019 through March 17, 2020. We’re thrilled to support the Museum – an IABCN member, and the host of our fabulous 20^th Anniversary Celebration – in presenting the fascinating tale of Irish soldier and artist Richard St. George, whose personal trauma and untimely death provide a window into the entangled histories of the American Revolution of 1776 and the Irish Rebellion of 1798.

As part of this alliance, the Museum of the American Revolution will be providing IABCN members with special opportunities to engage with the Museum’s first international loan exhibition.
