What a wonderful week! We kicked off on Sunday the 10th by marching in Philadelphia’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, led by our member, Sean McMenamin, the 2019 Grand Marshal. After the parade, we joined our community partners, the Irish Immigration Center, Philadelphia Gaelic Athletic Association, Brehon Law Societyfor our annual parade party.

Special thanks to our parade sponsor, The Plough & the Stars, and Consul General Ciaran Madden and Deputy Consul General Eimer Friel for their loyal support of our Irish Community in Philadelphia.

Throughout the week we worked with our partners at Enterprise Ireland, Pennsylvania’s Department of Community & Economic Development, Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce, Select Greater Philadelphia, and members from Littus to host delegations of Irish business owners, Irish government representatives from Tipperary, Mayo, and Sligo County County Councils, and the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland.

We are proud to collaborate with both U.S. and Irish government agencies to further promote the development of economic and cultural ties between the Isle of Ireland and the Greater Philadelphia Region.

We are excited to see Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening, which celebrates the Island of Ireland and St. Patrick, in Philadelphia this week. Many thanks to the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and BOMA for working with us to coordinate outreach efforts.
