USGA picks Ardmore’s Merion Golf Club to host 2 future U.S. Open Championships

The United States Golf Association has tapped two of Pennsylvania’s most prestigious courses to host additional championship tournaments between now and 2050.
On Wednesday, the USGA announced it is committing an additional five U.S. Open Championships and four U.S. Women’s Open Championships to Merion Golf Club in Ardmore and Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, near Pittsburgh.
Merion was awarded the U.S Open in 2030 and 2050. Oakmont, already slated to host the U.S. Open in 2025, will add the 2034, 2042 and 2049 tournaments.
