A Revolutionary Cultural Opportunity For IABCN Members

As we approach America’s Independence Day, IABCN is pleased to announced that we will be an official Promotional Partner for the Museum of the American Revolution’s special exhibit, Cost of Revolution: The Life and Death of an Irish Soldier, running from September 28, 2019 through March 17, 2020. We’re thrilled to support the Museum – an IABCN member, and the host of our fabulous 20th Anniversary Celebration – in presenting the fascinating tale of Irish soldier and artist Richard St. George, whose personal trauma and untimely death provide a window into the entangled histories of the American Revolution of 1776 and the Irish Rebellion of 1798.

As part of this alliance, the Museum of the American Revolution will be providing IABCN members with special opportunities to engage with the Museum’s first international loan exhibition. First amongst these opportunities, the Museum is offering discounted exhibit sponsorships exclusively for IABCN members. For $5,000 – half the price of a standard sponsorship – IABCN members will receive:

  • Name recognition in the exhibition gallery and Museum’s annual report
  • Invitations to an exclusive, private opening reception for exhibit donors and sponsors
  • 15 complimentary admission passes to the Museum and the special exhibit
  • An exclusive tour of the Museum’s exhibits for up to 15 guests
  • 10 percent discount on Museum facility rentals

Perhaps most importantly, exhibit sponsors will join IABCN, Emigrant Support Programme of Ireland, Irish Georgian Society and other Irish affinity organizations in championing the Museum of the American Revolution efforts to chronicle the Irish role on both sides of the American Revolution, and the Revolution’s inspiration for the Irish Rebellion of 1798. The Museum is limiting this special discount to five IABCN member organizations – to secure your sponsorship, or to learn more, contact Adam Robinson at the Museum of the American Revolution at 267-579-3392 or arobinson@amrevmuseum.org.

IABCN looks forward to welcoming our members – and an expected 50,000 Museum visitors – to this one-of-a-kind exhibit celebrating America and Ireland’s shared heritage!
