We’re excited to share updates from the Museum of the American Revolution – our member and partner – on their special exhibition Cost of Revolution: The Life and Death of an Irish Soldier, opening September 28:

– The exhibition’s run has been extended through Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17.

– The Museum has developed transatlantic partnerships with Ireland’s national cultural institutions, such as the National Gallery, National Library, National Museum, and the Ulster Museum, to exhibit treasures from Ireland’s revolutionary history here in Philadelphia as part of Cost of Revolution. These partnerships will help to reveal the entangled histories of the American Revolution of 1776 and the Irish Revolution of 1798 for tens of thousands of Museum visitors.

– Irish Chamber corporate member WSFS Bank has joined as the exhibition’s latest sponsor!

Now is the last chance to join the Irish Chamber, WSFS Bank, the Emigrant Support Programme of Ireland, the Irish Georgian Society, and more in sponsoring this revolutionary storytelling. To ensure your company’s inclusion as an exhibition sponsor – at a special discounted rate for Irish Chamber members – contact Adam Robinson by August 15 at 267-579-3392 or arobinson@amrevmuseum.org.

P.S.: For the first time in an American exhibition, Theobald Wolfe Tone’s bloodstained wallet from 1798, on loan from the National Museum of Ireland, will be on display. You won’t want to miss this!
