Green Friday – Aramark

This week’s Irish American Business Chamber & Network (IABCN) Green Friday member spotlight is on Ambassador-level member Aramark.
Aramark is a leading service and solutions provider within the food, facilities management, property service and retail industries.
With global headquarters in Philadelphia, Aramark’s Northern European headquarters in Dublin manages more than 16,000 employees across Ireland the UK and EMEA, servicing diverse clients in 39 countries.
Last month Executive Chef David Joyce was announced as Aramark’s Ireland Chef of the Year 2023. The annual competition, which showcases the exceptional talent within Aramark across Ireland, saw eight Aramark chefs compete for the prestigious prize through a series of cooking challenges. David will now travel to Chile to represent Ireland at the Aramark International Chefs Cup in April. Best of luck David!

Green Friday – Almac Group Inc.

This week’s IABCN Green Friday business spotlight is on Ambassador-level member Almac Group Inc.

Headquartered in Northern Ireland, Almac’s North American Headquarters at Souderton helps pharamaceutical manufacturers conduct clinical trials and employs more than 1,000 people supporting global clients.

This month, Almac announced a $65m expansion on the site, adding 200 jobs. Click HERE to read more.

The 100,000-square-foot expansion will help Almac meet increasing demand from biopharma companies. Biopharamaceuticals must be kept cold, often well below freezing.

The Souderton facility was vital in getting the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine through clinical trials in 2020.

This week our featured business is IABCN member Glens Of Antrim Distillery Ltd! With an established background in the food and drink sector, the McKillop’s recognised an opportunity to create something exciting in Irish Whiskey and began to bring the Lir Irish Whiskey Collection to life.

They comed their native Glens of Antrim to find the perfect location to begin the build of the Distillery. The site is situated on the world-renowned coastal route to the Giant’s Causeway, which attracts over a million visitors per year.
