Growth to pick up by spring and latest round of stimulus may not be the last, PNC economist says

The $900 billion stimulus bill is crucial to supporting the U.S. economy “through a very difficult period” into early 2021, positioning economic growth to pick up by spring, the chief economist at one of the Philadelphia region’s largest financial institutions said.
After months of bickering, the House and Senate passed the legislation by early Tuesday.
Ireland has won a major travel award in New York, the “best destination in Europe” – for the seventh year in a row

The award was announced at the 18th annual Travel Weekly Readers Choice Awards. Ireland took the number one spot in the “best destination in Europe” category – beating off tough competition from England, France, Greece, Italy and Spain.
Travel Weekly is the leading weekly newspaper for American travel agents and travel professionals and thousands of its readers voted in the various categories earlier this year. Ireland has won this award every year since 2014.
Welcoming news of the award, Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, said they were delighted that Ireland has been singled out for the seventh year in a row.
