Covid-19 Update

The Irish Chamber team will remain fully available and continue to work with our members as well as key stakeholders and community partners virtually during this period. Please feel free to reach out to Alanna Barry McCloskey at abarry@iabcn.org or by calling/texting 215.772.3101.

All in person events have been cancelled through the end of March. The Irish Chamber will adhere to Government guidance and the latest public health advice in relation to planning beyond the end of March. Events planned for May are currently being planned as normal, however we will update members as appropriate.

We look forward to a return to normal business and in the interim, we will be utilizing technology to engage with our members and community partners. Please take advantage of our Linked In company page and members only are welcome to post in our group page.  We also encourage members to utilize the IABCN LinkedIn Group to connect virtually and hope that you’re taking this time to make connections through that group, telephonic meetings, and Skype meetings.

Yesterday the World Health Organization officially declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic. Subsequently, President Trump addressed the nation to quell fears about the virus, announce a 30-day ban on foreign visitors from most of Europe and discuss the Administration’s efforts to offer business relief to companies affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The President is instructing the Small Business Administration(SBA) to begin providing economic loans in affected states and territories, is instructing the Treasury Department to defer tax payments without interest or penalties for certain individuals and businesses negatively impacted, and called on Congress to provide Americans with immediate payroll tax relief. Please click on the links provided to access information and resources for your business.
