US Premiere: Fáinne Óir – The story of a golden ring
September 26, 2019 at Symphony Space Theatre, New York

Major new Irish production, created in Mayo and imbued with the spirit of the west to premiere in the US!

A story of hardship and sadness – of celebration and love born of County Mayo, and imbued with the spirit of the West! A story of famine times which takes the audience on a journey, a journey from famine-stricken Mayo to the sights and sounds of New York City – and back home again!

This entirely new production, composed by Mayo’s acclaimed choral and orchestral conductor Kathy Fahey with choreography by renowned ‘Riverdance’ and ‘Lord of the Dance’ lead dancer, Ciara Sexton, will be narrated by TV and stage actress Sarah Maria Lafferty from Sligo.

Featuring contemporary dance with Ciara Sexton in the lead role and supported by The Mayo Concert Orchestra and vocal group, VoxFusion and some accomplished traditional Irish musicians, Fáinne Óir is an entirely new composition from the pen of Kathy Fahey.
