IABCN member and 2013 Ambassador’s Awards honoree, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, tied Boston Children’s Hospital for the No. 1 spot in the pediatric Honor Roll, with a ranking in the top three spots in eight out of 10 specialties in U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings for 2014.
To conduct the rankings, U.S. News raked through data from nearly 5,000 hospitals and survey results from more than 9,500 physicians. To make the best hospitals honor roll, a hospital had to score near the top of at least six of 16 medical specialties. Scores were determined by hospital performance, structural resources and reputation.
In the children’s hospital rankings, CHOP earned the top spot in Neonatology and Pulmonology.
