The Philadelphia Council of the Navy League is hosting its annual Commodore Barry Award Dinner on December 10th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Merion Cricket Club, 325 Montgomery Avenue. Haverford, PA 19041.

It is of particular interest that the recipient of the Commodore Barry Award this year is Vice Admiral Michael Miller, who was the recent Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy for four years through July, 2014.  This provides an exciting continuity between the Barry Memorial Dedication Ceremony at the U.S. Naval Academy on May 10 and the Commodore Barry Award Dinner scheduled for December 10.
