Philadelphia food service giant Aramark won new business in Atlanta, offsetting a recent loss there.

Aramark this month lost a contract with Atlanta Public Schools, eliminating 416 jobs, effective June 30. But now, Aramark has won a contract with the Atlanta-based Georgia Institute of Technology, better known as Georgia Tech, to be the college’s newest dining services provider.

The contract followed a request-for-proposal process that included input from students, faculty and staff.

Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) received a one-year contract with 14 extension options of one year each for a possible total of 15 years, Georgia Tech spokesman Lance Wallace told the Philadelphia Business Journal.
