Irish Chamber Member, Michael O’Rourke, Manager, International Business Attraction & Retention, at Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Developmen, will begin his 200-mile Camino solo hike from Oviedo, Spain on September 15th. This adventure is to celebrate his 40th birthday and raise awareness of the urgent need for blood donations in the U.S. and abroad.  His goal is to recruit one pledge to donate blood for every mile that I will hike in Spain – 200 blood donors for 200 miles – by the date he is due to arrive in Santiago de Compostela: Wednesday, September 28th.

No matter whether you live in Belfast, Berlin, Boston, Brooklyn, Boulder, or Bloomsburg, a single blood donation can potentially save up to three lives. Your single donation could save a baby in NICU, a teen battling cancer, and an adult living with chronic illness.

Please support Michael’s 40th birthday campaign by adding your name to his online pledge drive, and then you can decide when and where to give at your convenience. #200MilesFor200SleevesUp
