Fresh sound, new look for KYW Newsradio
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The news sounds a bit different today.
At KYW Newsradio 1060, we’ve spent the last few months crafting and composing updated music for the radio station. We had the help of a Philadelphia string arranger who’s a music industry icon.
But it revolves around something we’d never change.
“The KYW Newsradio jingle is a local treasure that has stood the test of time, been lovingly sung by countless Philadelphians, and has evolved over the decades,” said Entercom Senior Vice President and Market Manager David Yadgaroff. “As KYW Newsradio has transformed into a modern, multi-platform news organization, this is the next step in the evolution of its image.”
So, in the words of Supervising Producer Amy Crawford for Man Made Music, “Let’s not mess it up.”

In Philadelphia, Irish civic leaders discuss Brexit’s harsh impact on their homeland
The Philadelphia Inquirer
Trudy Rubin
In Philadelphia this week, a group of Irish men and women are gathered, reflecting the success of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement in bringing peace to Northern Ireland.
But they worry that a looming Brexit — and the British parliament’s hapless efforts to exit the European Union — are already threatening Ireland’s peace. And they wish that the United States, which god fathered the Good Friday deal, would take an active role in its preservation.
They know from personal experience the ugliness that awaits Ireland if the accord fails.
Our Treasurer, John L. McLoughlin (KPMG LLP), helps lead a team that assists importers who are subject to punitive tariffs issued by the current administration. Generally these tariffs impact companies that import from China or that may import aluminum and steel from global sources. Attached is a quick “two pager” issued by KPMG that may help mitigate these additional tariffs. To stay up to date, feel free to follow John on LinkedIn.
Congratulations to the Irish Echo on hosting their 2nd annual Small Business Big Impact Awards dinner on May 3rd in Boston. This event series was launched here in Philadelphia last year.
